Major Prophets
Judgment

The Messiah
The Prophetic Books are the recorded messages of God delivered through His prophets. These books contain warnings directed toward Israel and other nations, proclamations of judgment for sin, calls to repentance, and promises of salvation.

The prophets did not merely foretell future events—they reminded God's people to remember His covenant, declared His righteousness in the face of sin and rebellion, and proclaimed the hope of ultimate redemption. Especially, they pointed forward to the coming of the Messiah and the establishment of God’s Kingdom, forming a crucial part of God’s redemptive plan that is fulfilled in Jesus Christ in the New Testament.
Overview
The Major Prophets are classified as such due to the length of their writings and the theological depth and scope of their messages.
